Bows

Every bow needs to be rehaired from time to time because through use hairs may break and the ribbon of hair may in time become too thin or too narrow to allow a good grip on the strings.
Even if hairs do not break the ribbon of hair will still lose quality because the surface of the hair is worn away and the bow will slip more and more as time goes by. Rehairing is in general a matter of bringing it today and picking it up tomorrow. If so required, loan bows are available.
 

Has your bow been damaged or is it broken?

In general your bow will be considered a total loss if it has been damaged or broken.
This is often a great loss in particular if it concerns an irreplaceable bow.
But in most cases a damaged or broken bow can be repaired. Such a repair requires considerable experience and utmost precision. In the past few years we have successfully specialized in this particular technique.
